Over the next couple of years, as he continued receiving speaking invitations, he met more and more eyewitnesses. In 2013 he published his first collection of Bigfoot stories titled Standing in the Shadows: Bigfoot Stories from Southeastern Ohio. He realized that their stories needed to be preserved and made it his mission to begin collecting stories from willing witnesses. In doing his Bigfoot talks, he began meeting many eyewitnesses who had never shared their experiences with anyone for fear of ridicule. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe, open forum for Bigfoot believers and eyewitnesses to come together to share Bigfoot stories and reports without fear of ridicule.īy 2012, Doug began receiving invitations to speak at various venues such as libraries and Bigfoot events.
In 2008, he formed the Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation. In 2006 he began seriously reading and researching evidence and eyewitness reports.
